DP World partners with CCSE for ‘PRAGATI’, a scholarship programme for girl child education

DP World has partnered Centre for CSR & Sustainability Excellence (CCSE), for the implementation of Pragati, a girl child education scholarship programme, to be undertaken in Mundra, Gujarat. ‘Pragati’ aims to provide scholarships to 120 girls residing in the targeted region giving them an opportunity to further their education. The scholarship will be awarded to cover the education related expenses for every academic year till class 12th (i.e. academic year 2022-23, 23-24 and 24-25).

The project was launched on 5th September 2022, and the launch was attended by 65 girls receiving the scholarship in its pilot year, as well as their parents. The scholarships were announced by Mr. Adhendru Jain, CEO, DP World Mundra at an event held at the MICT Township in Mundra, Gujarat, in the presence of Dr. L. V. Fafal, Principal, S.D. Shethia College of Education, Mr. Dharmendra Karan, Director, Yusuf Meherally Centre, and Mr. Sudhanshu Jain, General Manager, Programme Operations, Innovative Financial Advisors Pvt Ltd, along with principals from 15 regional/government schools and representatives from Saath, an Ahmedabad-based NGO and implementation partner for the scholarship.
