Cyber bullying - New way of crime against women
The barrage of trolls subjecting women to online abuse is a new menace which has reared its head in the aftermath of the social media explosion. An incident of online abuse is never a single incident. It is a form of violence against women which is recurring in nature. In the age of the 'meme-culture' usage of words such as 'vegana' for vagina and 'bobs' for breasts against women in a "joking" way perpetuates misogyny, and this is exactly why online abuse is not being taken seriously, but there is a crying need to highlight the matter.
Kids Falling Prey on Social Media
The kids of today are falling into the trap of online crime, unaware of its impact. With the popularization of social media networking sites and multiple entertainment content , Kids are excessively using the virtual platforms and falling into the trap. A popular networking site ask.fm has been linked to teenage suicides. 65% teenagers say that cyber bullying is a serious problem and 1 out of 3 say that online bullying is worse than being bullied in person. Internet dares such as the Blue Whale Challenge, for instance, which has allegedly claimed the lives of five teenagers in India, are another emerging risk.Children and youth as they are vulnerable to cyber bullying, online sexual abuse and exploitation often fall prey to online addictions like KIKI challenge.
